I was in Cambodia last January. While in Kampot and Kep I had chicken with pepper. Great stuff. Has a mild "clovyness."

I used it on eggs and soup. Cambodians use it on crab and other seafood, sometimes green.

I went to a pepper plantation got 2 bags to bring home. Gave most of the pepper as samples to friends, family and restaurant chefs.

i have had the great pleasure of using kampot pepper for the last five years thanks to a friend who lives in cambodia and sends me a 250 gram bag every Christmas . i have become truly spoiled and even take a small grinder of it in my bag when dining out. kampot black is the best pepper in the world. it is a shame it is not more available outside of cambodia .
