... One enthusiastic blind taster! :=)

First of all I have to say that this blog isn’t only about wine. Since I love everything which has to do with food and restaurants, this blog also includes food articles and restaurant critiques. You might ask how it works to blind taste a restaurant? Except for this one here, I can only say that I kind of liked the name, that's all..and it happens from time to time that I organise blindtastings of wines with friends.

Since I live near Frankfurt in Germany, most of the restaurants I go to will be in the region but when I travel, I will always try to identify restaurants which are worth being mentioned.

You might also ask yourself why some articles are in English, other in German and maybe French? Well, I don’t see myself only as a German citizen, but rather as someone who is at home in Europe. That’s why I like the idea of a website where every article is just written in the language the author feels like writing. Sounds pretty neo-intellectual huh?
Let’s see how it goes. I still can adapt content if this language potpourri is getting too confusing.

Concerning wine tasting notes, some wines might receive grades. For these grades I will follow Mr Parkers’ grading system which ranges from 0 to 100. But be aware that I don’t fill in an evaluation sheet for each wine I drink, so the grade is mostly linked to my feeling. Maybe it’s just better to give grades from A to C to be less precise…gotta think about it!
